St. Joseph Catholic School making a difference...

Each year, St. Joseph Catholic School hosts an Easter Candy Fundraiser for the St. Joseph community.  Mrs. Gale's has a small crew that makes the chocolate peanut butter eggs, cream-filled eggs, bunny suckers and mini candy pieces.  Kit Muth, a St. Joseph grandparent, leads the making on the eggs.  Mrs. Muth has helped us with this project for the past 5 years.

This year, we decided that proceeds would benefit the Women's Education Forum, a fund of the Foundation for the Tri-state community and is represented by a group of women who were called upon by former West Virginia first lady Joanne Tomblin in spring 2012 to focus their collective interests and energy on improving educational opportunities for the children of West Virginia.

White said the funds will be used to aid Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, one of the initiatives WE has chosen to sponsor this year.

On behalf of St. Joseph Catholic School, a $1,000 check was presented to chairwoman, Tammy White yesterday to be utilized by this wonderful Imagination Library.
