My name is Gail McDowell, and I am the Assistant Principal here at St. Joseph Catholic School. I graduated from Marshall University with B.A. and M.A. degrees in Elementary Education. I have taught for a total of thirty-four years, and this will be my twenty-sixth year here at St. Joe. I have taught Pre-School through 6th grade during my teaching career. My job is both challenging and rewarding, but my favorite aspect is interacting with the students. Children make me laugh, as well as constantly teach and inspire me!!
I have attended many national conferences and workshops during my tenure at St. Joe including education, leadership and math conferences in Boston, San Diego, Austin and Los Angeles.
I am blessed to have in my life my family of four sons and six grandchildren. I truly appreciate all the wonderful students and parents at St. Joe, and thank you for your continued support of our school. I am looking forward to another enjoyable, productive school year.
