Ms. Templeton is our principal at St. Joseph Catholic School, Huntington, WV. In addition to her administrative duties, she is the Director of Curriculum and Assessment for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston. Her professional career includes nineteen years in education as a teacher, departmental head and administrator. She has experience working in both public and private schools in England, the Atlanta Georgia Public School system, and for the past twelve years as principal of St. Joseph Catholic School. Ms. Templeton completed her undergraduate degree from Birmingham University, England, her master’s degree in Administrative Leadership, Curriculum Supervision and Superintendent License from Marshall University, West Virginia and is currently working on a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Morehead State University, Kentucky. Ms. Templeton has experience serving on AdvancED External Review Teams throughout the United States. In 2005, Ms. Templeton was appointed by the Governor of West Virginia, Mr. J. Manchin, to serve as Vice Chair to the Commission of the Arts for the State of West Virginia. She has two wonderful boys, Liam and Lucas who are also students at St. Joseph Catholic School.
